Breaking down the weather forecast for the GEICO 500 at Talladega

Weather is always a factor for NASCAR races, so here’s what’s projected for the Talladega Superspeedway this week.

After spending the last few weekends in Virginia, NASCAR is now heading to an iconic southern track for the GEICO 500 at Talladega Sunday. To start the weekend, the Xfinity Series will run the Ag-Pro 300 on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET. The race will air on FOX. On Sunday at 2 p.m. ET, the Cup Series will run the GEICO 500, which will also be televised on FOX.

The weather is shaping up to be a little rough on Saturday, with a strong chance of thunderstorms. However, Sunday is looking to be good to go for the GEICO 500.
