Seven games are on the docket for the NBA slate tonight and with several star players sidelined as the season winds down, there are opportunities abound for under-the-radar sleepers to make noise for both themselves and your lineup.
That being said, it is a great time to give you some value plays for your DFS contest. Unlike NFL DFS, where one pick can make or break your lineup or it’s tough to find quality low-tier value.
In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays under $5K that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. It does not matter if you are playing a 50/50 or Double Up contest, we are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.
Kenrich Williams, Oklahoma City Thunder, $4,900
The OKC Thunder have been abysmal in the midst of their 12-game losing streak but Kenrich Williams has upped his DFS value during that stretch. “Kenny Hustle” has averaged 20.6 FPPG over his last six outings and in spite of coming off the bench in Wednesday’s loss to the Pacers, he put up 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in just 28 minutes to net 32.3 fantasy points. Tonight, he faces a Wizards team that is yielding 118 ppg on 47 percent shooting and considering that Williams totaled 28.3 FP in OKC’s previous encounter with Washington, he’s definitely someone you may want to grab for valuable depth to your lineup.
Jeff Green, Brooklyn Nets, $4,800
The rotating door of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and James Harden being in and out of the lineup has provided opportunities for Brooklyn’s role players to get some shine. That has included veteran forward Jeff Green, who despite only shooting 36.7 percent from the field, has averaged 21.3 FP over his last six games. With Durant sidelined with a thigh injury against New Orleans on Tuesday, Green came up just shy of a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds to go along with his six assists. Durant is listed as questionable for tonight’s matchup with the Celtics but I’d still lean on Green being a present factor in the lineup.
Lou Williams, Atlanta Hawks, $4,300
As the Hawks have surged, so has Lou Will, who is playing his best ball since joining the team recently. Lou Will put up 22 points in just 24 minutes against the Magic on Tuesday and his 11 point, four assist performance against the Knicks the following night netted him 18.5 FP for the evening. With Trae Young out with an ankle sprain, the veteran guard will be a vauluable asset againtst a Heat team for whom he’s averaging 35.5 FPPG this season.
