Uriah Hall vs. Chris Weidman: Middleweight

Winner: Uriah Hall
Winning Method: Uriah Hall wins by KO at 0:17 of the first round.

We’re not showing it. Chris Weidman broke his leg trying to low kick Hall. Search Google if you want to see it. Hall handled the post-fight interview with complete class, and let’s hope Weidman is ok. Just an absolute awful ending, and ironic considering it was Weidman that did the same thing to Anderson Silva many years ago.

Anthony Smith vs. Jimmy Crute: Light Heavyweight

Winner: Anthony Smith
Winning Method: Anthony Smith wins by TKO (broken leg) at 5:00 of the first round.

Jimmy Crute absolutely tried to fight on what was a clearly broken leg, but it was stopped as the physician wouldn’t allow him to begin the second round when Crute massively limped off the stool and couldn’t stand up. Credit to him for trying to be a warrior, and also credit to the officials and doctor for not allowing it to happen. An incredible leg kick snapped Crute’s knee.

Alex Oliveira vs. Randy Brown: Welterweight

Winner: Randy Brown
Winning Method: Randy Brown wins by submission (rear naked choke) at 2:50 of the first round.

Dwight Grant vs. Stefan Sekulic: Welterweight

Winner: Dwight Grant
Winning Method: Dwight Grant wins by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

It was a difficult decision, and Grant was forced to hang on until the end in a viscous guillotine choke for the last 30 seconds of the fight. But surviving it made the difference, though he led on strikes just 35-33, and Sekulic had a fight control advantage of 2:04-0:35. A very tough way to lose for Sekulic and he’ll have an argument he got hosed, as the two judges that gave Grant the second round made the difference here.
