A star of the small screen in South Korea is a big favorite to join Hollywood’s most elite sorority when the Best Supporting Actress Oscar is given out during Sunday’s 2021 Academy Awards.

After decades as one of the biggest names in Korean television, Youn Yuh-Jung’s work as Soonja in Lee Isaac Chung’s Minari has already won her both BAFTA and Screen Actors Guild trophies. The film documents the move of a family from California to Arkansas grow a crop they know, and the trials and tribulations of starting over.

Although it’s not conventional filmmaking, the phenomenal work of Maria Bakalova in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is groundbreaking if only for the political impact it ended up having. Her being in a hotel room with Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani while the cameras rolled is one of the most incredible things ever seen in a Hollywood film that brilliantly blends reality and satire. She may not be favored, but plenty will be rooting for her strictly on the courage it took for her to complete the most memorable scene of the year.

Here’s a look at how the public is betting Best Supporting Actress at this year’s Academy Awards from DraftKings Sportsbook:
