NBA injuries to monitor ahead of Tuesday’s slate on April 27th

We note some of the injuries to keep an eye on heading into Tuesday’s six-game slate with the potential to affect basketball DFS lineups and betting lines.

We’ve got six games on the schedule for Tuesday, April 27th and there are plenty of big names on the injury report. Here we’ll be monitoring all the latest injury news with some analysis and how to approach the injury for DFS and fantasy basketball.

NBA Injury Report: Tuesday, April 27th

Kevin Durant, SF/PF, Brooklyn Nets

Coach Steve Nash told reporters before the game that Durant is expected to start and will have his minutes increased tonight vs. the Raptors. Durant played 28 minutes in his last game, so we could see him eclipse 30 if the game stays competitive. Durant’s price is down to $8,300, so he’s a very interesting tournament play on DraftKings. KD had 53 DKFP against the Suns on Sunday and his usage was around 40 percent. Even if the usage goes down a bit (which is to be expected), Durant could end up returning decent value at a lower ownership. Bruce Brown (knee) will remain sidelined.

Luka Doncic, PG/SF, Dallas Mavericks

Update: Porzingis (ankle) and Richardson (hamstring) are doubtful to play. JJ Redick (heel), Doncic (elbow), Finney-Smith (leg) and Kleber (back) are questionable.

The Mavericks played Monday night and Doncic was able to give it a go despite an elbow injury. He isn’t on the injury report for Tuesday against the Golden State Warriors just yet. We’ll see what the Mavs report looks like but it could end up being pretty lengthy. Kristpas Porzingis (ankle), Josh Richardson (hamstring) and Maxi Kleber (back) should also be listed somewhere on the injury report this afternoon.

Jayson Tatum, SF/PF, Boston Celtics

Update: Robert Williams (knee) has been ruled out vs. the Thunder. Walker will now miss at least the next two games due to an oblique injury.

The Celtics have already ruled Tatum out for Tuesday’s game vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder to get some rest. Tatum has been dealing with an ankle injury and the Celtics are on the first half of a back-to-back set. Kemba Walker (rest) will also be out Tuesday but will be back Wednesday vs. the Hornets. Robert Williams (knee) is questionable. Jaylen Brown ($8,400) and Marcus Smart ($6,600) should be good plays on DraftKings with Tatum and Walker sidelined. If Williams is out, Evan Fournier ($5,000) and Tristan Thompson ($5,400) get a slight boost.

Toronto Raptors injury report

The Raptors have already ruled out SG Gary Trent Jr. (leg) for Tuesday’s game vs. the Brooklyn Nets. Toronto is coming off a win over the Cavaliers on Monday night and could hold some players out to rest. Keep an eye on Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby this afternoon. Chris Boucher remains sidelined and could miss the rest of the regular season with a knee sprain.
