The Dallas Mavericks (33-27) will play the second game on their three-game road trip as they visit the Golden State Warriors (31-30) in hopes of a win. The Mavs are sitting in sixth place right now and they’ll look to solidify their position heading into the playoffs, hoping to avoid a play-in game if they slip in the standings. Dallas has gone 5-5 in their last 10 outings while the Warriors have fared a little better, going 7-3 while in the midst of a two-game winning streak. While Dallas has been inconsistent, especially winning a pair of games against the Lakers but dropping a result against the Kings, Stephen Curry and the Warriors have been in great form while Curry’s averaged a staggering 38.1 points per game this month.
Mavericks vs. Warriors, 9:30 p.m. ET, TNT
Pick ATS: Warriors -2.5
Curry and Draymond Green have been on fire recently, helping the Warriors come to within a half a game of the ninth-place Spurs and the eighth-place Grizzlies. Curry’s been relentless from the field, shooting 52.9 percent in the month of April while hitting 47.2 percent of his three-pointers. He’s playing some of the best basketball he’s played all season, and it’s just in time to make a real push ahead of the playoffs. Green hasn’t been contributing as much in the scoring department, but has been dominating on the boards and assists. He logged a double-double in both of his last two games, grabbing 14 rebounds and adding 13 assists in their win over the Kings on Sunday. On the other side, Luka Doncic hasn’t been as explosive as he’s been in the past, only averaging 27.4 points through April.
The Mavs could also be missing Kristaps Porzingis (ankle), Josh Richardson (hamstring), and JJ Redick (heel) who all missed at least the last game and are still listed as questionable ahead of tonight’s contest. The Warriors will also be missing several players, but they’ll still have their key guys in Curry, Green, Andrew Wiggins, Kelly Oubre Jr, and others who should help Golden State get the win at home.
Player Prop: Stephen Curry O33.5 points (-113)
For almost any other player, this might be a pretty big gamble. In this case, it’s almost a no-brainer as Curry has scored over 33 points in 10 of his last 13 games. When their star player is shooting that well from the field, there’s nobody they’d trust with the ball more on a consistent basis. Expect Curry to have another big night especially at home.
