Breaking down opening lines for Sunday’s Buschy McBusch Race 400 at the Kansas Speedway

The NASCAR Cup Series is headed to the Kansas Speedway this week for the Buschy McBusch Race 400. The Race is set for Sunday, May 2nd and will start at 3:00 p.m. ET. The 267 lap, 400-mile race will air on FS1.

Denny Hamlin is favored to win this race on DraftKings Sportsbook, with odds opening at +600 to finish in first. He’s closely followed by Martin Truex Jr. at +650. Brad Keselowski took home his first No. 1 finish of the 2021 season in last Sunday’s Geico 500, and his odds for the Buschy McBusch Race 400 linger at +800.

A year ago, Hamlin won what was then called the Super Start Batteries 400. The top five was Hamlin, Keselowski, Truex, Kevin Harvick, and Erik Jones. Hamlin has claimed the checkered flag once each of the past two years at Kansas Speedway. Last year, Joey Logano won the second Kansas race, the Hollywood Casino 400. He was followed by Harvick, Alex Bowman, Keselowski, and Kyle Busch.
