The Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Dodgers will continue their three-game set Tuesday at 10:10 p.m. ET. Jeff Hoffman will be on the mound for the Reds, while Walker Buehler will be on the mound for the Dodgers. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Reds vs. Dodgers, 10:10 p.m. ET

Moneyline pick: Dodgers -250

The Reds defeated the Dodgers 5-3 in extra innings on Monday night. With the win, Cincinnati ended their seven-game losing skid and handed the Dodgers their second-straight loss. Cincy OF Jesse Winker extended his hit streak to 11 games after going 2-for-5 with a two-home run in the 10th inning. Reds OF Nick Castellanos also had a solid game at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a RBI and two walks. The league’s best offense only recorded six hits, but it was more than enough as their pitching/bullpen performed well down the stretch.

As for Tuesday’s game, the Dodgers will look to get back into the win column with Buehler on the mound. The 26-year-old has a record of 1-0, an ERA of 2.16, and 21 strikeouts in 25 IP. In his last start against the San Diego, Buehler recorded a season-high nine strikeouts, while only allowing four hits and two earned runs (home run) in 7.0 IP. Through two starts, the young standout pitcher has an ERA of 1.38 at home this season.

Meanwhile, Hoffman has a record of 2-1 with an ERA of 2.66. He has struck out 16 in 20.1 IP, but has given up 20 hits, seven walks, and six earned runs. Unlike Buehler, Hoffman isn’t a heavy strikeout pitcher as he has not thrown more than six strikeouts in three consecutive starts.

Player Prop: Jeff Hoffman O4.5 strikeouts (+120)

If the Reds want to get another win on Tuesday over the defending World Series champs, then it will fall on the arm of Hoffman. Aforementioned, Hoffman has a record of 2-1 and ERA of 2.66. He also recorded 16 strikeouts in 20.1 IP.

The former first-round pick has gone over 4.5 strikeouts only once this season, which was his first start against St. Louis. But he’s facing a Dodgers’ offense, which is averaging 12.67 strikeouts in their last three games. Overall, Los Angeles is recording 9.65 strikeouts per game this season, good for 22nd in the majors.
