The first round of the 2021 NFL Draft will officially kick off Thursday, April 29th. The evening gets underway at 8 p.m. ET with the Jacksonville Jaguars holding the No. 1 overall pick. They are expected to selected Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence leaving the only drama to how much time will come off the clock.
This year, the draft is being held in Cleveland, Ohio, as the league continues rotating to different venues outside of New York City. This year will feature some of the city’s most notable venues like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, First Energy Stadium — home of the Cleveland Browns — and the Great Lakes Science Center.

The league started the rotation of draft location with the 2015 NFL Draft when it became a bidding process similar to the Super Bowl. Chicago hosted the 2015 and 2016 drafts, followed by Philadelphia, Dallas, and Nashville. The 2020 NFL Draft was entirely virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
