NBA injuries to monitor ahead of Wednesday’s slate on April 28th

We note some of the injuries to keep an eye on heading into Wednesday’s 10-game slate with the potential to affect basketball DFS lineups and betting lines.

We’ve got 10 games on the schedule for Wednesday, April 28th, and there are plenty of big names on the injury report. Here we’ll be monitoring all the latest injury news with some analysis and how to approach the injury for DFS and fantasy basketball.

NBA Injury Report: Wednesday, April 28th

Jayson Tatum, SF/PF, Boston Celtics

Update: Smart has been suspended one game for threatening a game official and will not play vs. the Hornets. Payton Pritchard ($4,000) should be chalk as a result.

After being held out of Tuesday’s game, the Celtics will have Jayson Tatum (ankle) and Robert Williams (knee) back in the lineup tonight vs. the Charlotte Hornets. Tatum ($9,600) and Williams ($5,600) are both strong tournament plays on DraftKings in a good matchup vs. the Hornets. With Kemba Walker (oblique) still out, Jaylen Brown ($8,500) and Marcus Smart ($6,700) are also decent plays, making the Celtics an OK stacking option overall.

Kawhi Leonard, SF, Los Angeles Clippers

Update: Leonard has been ruled out again after being doubtful vs. the Suns tonight. No issues with PG-13 and he’s in the starting lineup. Batum is also available to play.

Leonard (foot) is being listed as doubtful to play tonight vs. the Phoenix Suns. Nic Batum (shoulder) is questionable. Paul George (ankle) isn’t listed on the injury report so far today but that seems like it may change. The Clippers (and most NBA teams) don’t really care about our DFS lineups and bets. So keep an eye out on PG-13 and if he ends up being questionable or held out.

Anthony Davis, PF/C, Los Angeles Lakers

AD (calf) is being listed as probable to play tonight vs. the Washington Wizards. Davis played over 30 minutes for the first time since returning from injury, scoring 18 points with 8 rebounds for 34.5 DKFP in a win over the Orlando Magic. Davis ($9,200) has a really great matchup against the Wizards, who can’t defend the paint but also play up in pace. If AD plays 30+ minutes again, he’s a viable tournament play.

Atlanta Hawks injury report

Update: Bogdanovic is out and Goodwin will play.

Update: Huerter has been ruled out as expected. Bogdanovic and Goodwin are game-time decisions. Dunn is expected to see more minutes tonight.

The Hawks have Brandon Goodwin (ankle) listed as questionable and Kevin Huerter (shoulder) listed as doubtful to play tonight vs. the Sixers. Bogdan Bogdanovic (hamstring) is also questionable to play. With Huerter expected to be out, Danilo Gallinari ($5,300) and Lou Williams ($4,500) should be strong value options on DraftKings. Goodwin being sidelined would leave Lou Will as essentially the only PG in the rotation. Maybe Kris Dunn ($3,100) gets a bit more run if that’s the case? He returned and played his first game of the season, but only saw 13 minutes. If Bogdanovic ends up sitting, Gallo and John Collins ($7,600) are your top offensive options.
