In the first game to tip-off on ESPN Wednesday, the Los Angeles Lakers will head to the nation’s capital to play the Washington Wizards at 7:30 p.m. ET. The last time these two teams played each other, the Wizards defeated the Lakers 127-124 in February at Staples Center.

The Lakers snapped their three-game losing streak with a 114-103 win over the Orlando Magic on Monday night. Los Angeles has a record of 2-3 in their last five games and 4-6 in their last 10.

The Wizards saw their eight-game winning streak snapped by the San Antonio Spurs in a three-point overtime loss on Monday. Washington allowed the Spurs to 146, after holding their opponents to 110.8 points per game during their win streak. The Wiz have a record of 4-1 in their last five contests and an outstanding 8-2 in their last 10. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Lakers vs. Wizards, 7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN

Pick ATS: Wizards +1.5

The line for Wednesday night’s game is currently set at 1.5 points, with the Lakers listed as the slight favorites. Los Angeles needed a win over the Magic a couple of days ago as they were taking a tumble in the Western Conference playoff race. The Lakers are now sitting in fifth place but only three games separate them from being in the play-in tournament.

However, Los Angeles should be able to weather the last couple weeks of the season as they just got back Anthony Davis, and LeBron James should be returning soon. Since his return on April 22, Davis has scored 18 and 17 points in the Lakers’ last two games against the Dallas Mavericks and Magic. The Lakers also have some injuries to keep an eye out on for tonight’s game as Alex Caruso is listed as questionable (back), while Dennis Schroder (calf) and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (ankle) are listed as probable.

Los Angeles has a record of 1-4-1 against the spread in their six games and are 16-14-1 overall ATS on the road this season. As for the Wizards, they’ve been one of the better teams in the Association lately. Washington has now put themselves in a great position to make the play-in tournament, sitting in the 10th spot.

Russell Westbrook is averaging 21.8 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 12.2 assists in the Wizards’ last 10 games. Bradley Beal is averaging 32.2 points per game, which is above his season average of 31.2 points. That being said, the key for the Wizards is playing defense, which they did well enough over their eight-game win streak. Washington is 7-2 ATS in their last nine games and 16-16 ATS at home this season.

Player Prop: Russell Westbrook over 12.5 rebounds (+100)

This is a player prop that you need to get on asap because it will likely switch over to minus money, the closer we get to game time. Aforementioned, Westbrook has been a triple-double this season and in the Wizards’ recent stretch of games. The dynamic do-it all point guard has gone over 12.5 rebounds only twice in the Wizards’ last five games. But in the Wizards’ last 10 games, Westbrook has gone over six times, including a stretch where he had 14, 15, 15, and 14 rebounds.
