Who will be the first OL picked in the 2021 NFL Draft? We examine the betting splits over at DraftKings Sportsbook.

The College Draft: Emory Hunt breaks down his Elites

While the 2021 NFL Draft is set to be headlined by the quarterback position especially near the top, some team is going to find some value as the offensive linemen are set to drop.

Former Oregon Ducks offensive tackle Penei Sewell is the favorite at -560 odds to be the top offensive lineman taken on Thursday night. He is getting the majority of the betting handle from DraftKings Sportsbook bettors at 78%, though just 33% of bets are going to him.

According to the public bettors, it’s between him and former Northwestern Wildcats offensive tackle Rashawn Slater, who is getting 20% of the handle but 52% of the bets to be this year’s first offensive lineman selected.

Below are odds and info provided by DraftKings Sportsbook.

First OL pick betting splits

Penei Sewell: (-560) 80% handle 36% bets
Rashawn Slater: (+250) 18% handle 50% bets
Christian Darrisaw: (+3300) <1% handle 3% bets
Walker Little: (+700) <1% handle 1% bets
Alex Leatherwood: (+15000) <1% handle 3%

We’re going where the money says we should go with Sewell to be the No. 1 offensive lineman off the board. It’s difficult to locate many mock drafts from the most respected media outlets covering the event that show anything differently. Maybe there’s a team like the Cincinnati Bengals at pick No. 5 that is secretly in love with what Slater can do, but many signs point to Sewell as the first offensive lineman selected in Thursday night’s first round.
