Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton helped power the New York Yankees to a victory on Tuesday in Baltimore. That sets the stage for today’s series finale, which is tied for the highest over-under on the board according to DraftKings Sportsbook (9.5 runs). The Yankees have a lot of big-money names, but one player you should know is Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins. He has 32 hits this season, tied for the most in MLB. Ten of those knocks have come in his last five games.
Yankees vs. Orioles, 7:05 p.m. ET
Moneyline pick: Orioles +143
Domingo German is the Yankees’ scheduled starter while the Orioles will send ... someone to the mound. Dean Kremer? It’s not certain yet. Point being, this is not going to be a low-scoring game at Camden Yards. And although the Yankees are significant favorites (-167) and have so much star power, their offense has been anything but consistent thus far. With these odds, it’s worth taking a chance on the O’s against German. Opposing batters have a .649 expected slugging percentage through his 13 innings this season.
Player Prop: Cedric Mullins OVER 0.5 runs (+120)
That’s an interesting line. Getting plus money for a scorching-hot leadoff hitter to score just one run looks like good value. If my assumption is right and this game’s total reaches double digits, it’s hard to believe Mullins won’t cross the plate at least once. Currently batting .356 with the Orioles’ second-most runs (10) and walks (eight), bet on the man aptly nicknamed “The Entertainer” today.
