Dallas Mavericks All-Star Luka Doncic is being listed as doubtful to play Thursday vs. the Detroit Pistons due to an elbow injury. Doncic has been in and out of the lineup with the Mavericks dealing with a ton of injuries. Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) and Josh Richardson (hamstring) are probable to play while Dorian Finney-Smith (leg) is also doubtful with Doncic. The Mavs could be thinking the Pistons are an easy target and Dallas is in 6th place in the West just outside the play-in tourney.

Update: Doncic and DFS have been ruled out while Porzingis and Richardson are available to play vs. the Pistons. This is pretty much what we figured would be the case. JJ Redick is also available to play off the bench.

With Doncic looking like he won’t play, it’s Jalen Brunson ($4,500) time. Brunson should get the start at PG and will be a chalky play in a great matchup vs. the bottom-feeding Pistons. Porzingis ($8,700) isn’t a bad tournament option as well with Doncic sidelined. This game could be closer than the initial spread of 8.5 points now that Doncic and DFS are unlikely to play. Tim Hardaway Jr. ($4,700) feels like a good value as well with a decent scoring ceiling.
