The WBO junior lightweight title will be on the line this Saturday, April 3 as champion Jamel Herring finally faces off against challenger and former two-division champ Carl Frampton. The main card gets going at 4 p.m. ET and the main event between Herring and Frampton has ring walks scheduled for approximately 5:15 p.m. ET. To watch Saturday’s fight, you’ll need a subscription to the ESPN+ live stream, which is available for $5.99 per month or annually for $59.99.
The fight was originally slated for last November but was moved when Herring suffered eye injuries in his DQ win over Jonathan Oquendo. It was moved to January, but then moved to February due to COVID-19. It was postponed once again after Frampton suffered a hand injury. But now, it is finally happening.
We’ve seen some movement around the odds, and it’s tight heading into fight day. Even though he is the challenger, Frampton actually opened as a slight favorite to win at DraftKings Sportsbook. However, Herring has since been moved into the favored position at -125 to Frampton’s current -106.
