Round 1 of the 2021 NFL Draft is a wrap, and even after the picks we all knew were coming (Trevor Lawrence to the Jaguars, Zach Wilson to the Jets), we still had a night filled with plenty of surprises.
After playing their cards close to the chest, the 49ers took QB Trey Lance with the third overall pick. The Eagles traded up from No. 12 to No. 10 to draft their guy, Alabama WR DeVonta Smith. Soon after, Ohio State QB Justin Fields went to the Chicago Bears after a trade-up with the Giants.
There’s still plenty of action to come in day two. Some of the best available players left on the board include LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, WR Elijah Moore and OL Teven Jenkins. There are lots of fantasy-relevant picks to go, too, as we begin to paint a picture of the 2021 rookie class.
