In one of the last two games to begin on Friday night, the Los Angeles Angels will travel to the Pacific-Northwest to play the Seattle Mariners at 10:10 p.m. ET. Andrew Heaney will be on the bump for the Angels, while Chris Flexen will get the start for the Mariners. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Angels vs. Mariners, 10:10 p.m. ET

Moneyline pick: Mariners +125

The run line for Friday’s late-night game is set at -1.5, with the Angels listed as the favorite on the road. They are also favored on the moneyline at -148. This is the first time that these AL West foes will be playing each other this season.

Angels enters Friday night’s game off of a series win against the Texas Rangers, where they took two out of three. Los Angeles has a record of 5-7 against teams from the AL West this season and they are 4-6 in their last 10 games. In those games, the Angels are hitting .264, but their pitching has not great been with a 5.65 ERA.

Heaney will try to turn that around as he has a record of 1-1 with an ERA of 4.36. The 29-year-old had a good outing last Friday against the Astros, when he only allowed two hits, one earned run, and struck out 10 in 6.1 IP. The Mariners have not had the best offense this season, but are getting great pitching. Despite losing James Paxton, Seattle has an ERA of 3.58 and 2.88 in their last three games. Just like the Angles, the Mariners are also 4-6 in their last 10 games. Seattle’s Chris Flexen is 2-0 with an ERA of 2.74 in four starts this season.

Player Prop: Andrew Heaney over 7.5 strikeouts (+105)

Heaney’s strikeout prop is currently sitting at plus, but it could drastically change over to minus money by first pitch at 10:10 p.m. ET. The 29-year-old is coming off a tremendous performance against the Astros, where he recorded 10 strikeouts. Heaney has gone over 7.5 strikeouts in two out of four starts this season. In both of those starts, he went at least six innings. He’ll be facing a Mariners’ offense on Friday that is averaging 9.38 strikeouts per game and 9.33 in their last three. If Heaney is on his game, it could be a long night for the Mariners.
