The favorite took down the lilies for the fillies, as the 2/1 chalk Malathaat won the 147th Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs on Friday by a neck. With former Derby winner John Velazquez aboard, Todd Pletcher picks up the first major race of the weekend.

It’s the fourth Oaks win for Pletcher, who came in with the favorite and hung on. He’ll also have four horses in the Kentucky Derby tomorrow, including Known Agenda, Burbonic, Sainthood, and Dynamic One.
Search Results closed in the 5/1 range, and he picks up place money after taking a lead in the stretch run but coming up short at the wire. Will’s Secret rounds out the board, the 25/1 longshot gets there at the end for a nice payday on the exotics that placed him.
