Best NBA team stacks for DFS on Sunday, April 4th

Our favorite stack for Saturday’s main slate was a major success. The Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs combined to score 272 points in an overtime matchup. A ridiculous 14 players reached double-digits in points, and four of the players we highlighted returned at least 6X value. We have another game in mind that stands out on Easter Sunday.

Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the NBA game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can read more about the concept of stacking here, but the main goal is to take advantage of this plus-matchup and use the salary cap to your advantage.

Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the NBA slate on Sunday, April 4th.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Houston Rockets, 8:00 p.m. ET

Christian Wood ($8,600)
Nickeil Alexander-Walker ($7,000)
Kevin Porter Jr. ($6,900)
James Johnson ($4,300)

Brandon Ingram ($9,300), Zion Williamson ($8,500), and Lonzo Ball ($7,200) are listed as questionable ahead of this matchup, while John Wall ($8,100) is listed as out. If all these key players are held out of this Sunday matchup, there’s a ton of room for big-time value.

NAW has returned at least 6X value in five of his last seven games and will continue to boast a high ceiling if Ball doesn’t return to action for the first time since March 18. NAW is more of a combo guard than a true point and is up against a Rockets defense that ranks dead last against shooting guards on DraftKings. Adding Eric Bledsoe ($6,300) could make sense for a team that will likely only have two ball handlers available isn’t a bad idea, but NAW has had the higher ceiling in most cases. Johnson has averaged more than 32 DKFP over the last two games Ingram and Williamson have missed and will be extremely underpriced should neither suit up again for a third straight contest.

The Pelicans have one of the NBA’s worst defenses ad ranks 27th against point guards and 23rd against shooting guards on DraftKings. KPJ will essentially be handed the keys to the offense, like Caris LeVert was the other night. The second-year combo guard dropped below 30 DKFP three times in his 11 games with the Rockets and has returned more than 6X value when priced at $6.8K or higher twice. Having Victor Oladipo and Wall out of the way gives him a real shot at a ceiling game while working alongside Wood, who has scored 37 or more DKFP in three straight games. Complementary pieces like Jae’Sean Tate ($6,200) or Kelly Olynyk ($5,500) could set this stack over the top. Both forwards have both eclipsed 34 DKFP twice since the trade deadline,
