Why are Braun Strowman and Shane McMahon meeting at Wrestlemania?

Because Braun Strowman isn’t smart.

A staple of Wrestlemania and WWE programming in general for the past few decades has been Shane McMahon showcase matches.

Throughout the years, the son of the owner of the company has been fully willing to put himself into harm’s way for the entertainment of the fans and this year is no different as he is scheduled to face the “Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman on Night 1.

Why are they fighting?

Because Braun Strowman is an idiot.

No seriously, that’s the reason. That is why they’re fighting. A former WWE Universal Champion on Smackdown, Strowman was moved to the Raw brand in the fall. At the Elimination Chamber PPV in February, it was determined that WWE Champion Drew McIntyre would defend his title in the chamber match against five former WWE Champions.

An angry Strowman wondered why he wasn’t included in the match and Shane McMahon reminded him that the match was was specifically for former WWE Champions and not Universal Champions. He would have to explain this to the giant numerous times, prompting the McMahon to spend weeks mocking Strowman for being stupid.

So yeah, that’s where we’re at with this. The feud hasn’t been great and doing a steel cage match at Wrestlemania is questionable. BUT if we know Shane O’Mac, we know that he loves to be thrown off things. And Raymond James Stadium has a pirate ship that could serve that very purpose for this show.
