We’ve got 6 games on the schedule for Monday, May 10th, and there are plenty of big names on the injury report. Here we’ll be monitoring all the latest injury news with some analysis and how to approach the injury for DFS and fantasy basketball.
NBA Injury Report: Monday, May 10th
Bradley Beal, SG, Washington Wizards
The Wizards are in hot pursuit of the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, but their top scorer has gone down with a hamstring injury and will miss two games before being re-evaluated. Washington will need size to defend opposing wings with Beal out of the lineup, so Chandler Hutchison ($3,000) and Anthony Gil ($3,000) could be worthwhile punt plays against the Atlanta Hawks. Ish Smith ($3,300) will likely get more run than usual off the bench.
De’Andre Hunter, SF, Atlanta Hawks
Hunter ($4,700) is questionable with a knee injury and could make his return to the court for the first time since late March. While Hunter will likely be on a minutes restriction, there will be plenty of room for him in the rotation with Tony Snell (Achilles) questionable. Kevin Huerter ($4,900) could step into a starting role and get help from Solomon Hill ($3,100) or Kris Dunn ($3,000) along the way.
New Orleans Pelicans injury report
Zion Williamson (hand), Brandon Ingram (ankle), and Josh Hart (thumb) have been ruled out early. Steven Adams (toe) is doubtful. That means New Orleans’ reserves should get plenty of playing tie against the Memphis Grizzlies. Naji Marshall ($5,000), James Johnson ($4,600), and Jaxson Hayes ($4,600) are all value plays under $5K worth considering.
Houston Rockets injury report
Basically, everyone is out for the Rockets ahead of their matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers. Kevin Porter Jr. (ankle) has been ruled out, while Kelly Olynyk and Christian Wood are questionable with ankle injuries of their own. Kenyon Martin Jr. ($6,200) is flourishing as a small-ball center and has reached 50 DKFP in two of his last three games. Paring the rookie with Khyri Thomas ($5,500) and Jae’Sean Tate ($6,500) could make for a decent stacking option.
Cleveland Cavaliers injury report
A host of Cavs players have been ruled out, including Darius Garland (rest), Darius Garland (knee), Cedi Osman (ankle)k and Isaiah Hartenstein (concussion). Needless to say, there will be plenty of Collin Sexton ($8,300) and Jarrett Allen ($6,800) to go around. Role-players like Dean Wade ($3,400) and Damyean Dotson ($3,000) should be afforded more opportunities than usual.
Indiana Pacers injury report
Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) and Jeremy Lamb (knee) have been ruled out for Monday’s game against Cleveland. Domantas Sabonis ($10,600) will play despite having taken a big blow from Raul Neto in the back last week. Expect him to continue running the show alongside Caris LeVert ($9,000).
