Pick against the spread, best player prop for Jazz vs. Warriors on Monday

We go over some of the best betting options for Monday’s matchup between the Utah Jazz and Golden State Warriors.

NBA: Oklahoma City Thunder at Golden State Warriors Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

The Golden State Warriors are right in the middle of the play-in tournament at this point as they are four games behind the No. 6 team Portland Trail Blazers and four games ahead of the No. 11 team New Orleans Pelicans with just four games to play. They have the eighth best record in the Western Conference at 35-33. On Monday night, they will host the Utah Jazz, which will enter with the best record in the NBA.

For Golden State, Kelly Oubre Jr. remains out with a wrist injury, and Eric Paschall is out with an injured toe. In a rare case, Damion Lee said he tested positive for COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated. Utah G Mike Conley is out with a hamstring injury, and Donovan Mitchell is still healing from an injured ankle.

Pick ATS: Warriors +3

There is not a significant motivational edge for this game as Golden State is fully entrenched in the play-in tournament field, and Utah is two games ahead of the rest for the conference’s No. 1 seed. Both teams last played on Saturday as the Warriors will remain at home, while the Jazz will travel in from their last game in Utah. Golden State has a slight travel advantage in this one, and they have covered in four of their last five games. Let’s go with the Warriors as home underdogs in this spot.

Player Prop: Stephen Curry U6.5 3-pointers (-159)

Stephen Curry has been fantastic down the stretch of the regular season, but it will take an even better performance for him to hit at least seven 3-pointers against this Utah defense. Curry has shot the three ball a ton recently, but he’s going up against the team that allows just 34.1% of 3-pointers to be made, which ranks second in the NBA. In addition, only 31.9 three-point shots are being attempted per game against the Jazz, third fewest in the league. Curry knocked down at least seven 3-pointers in four of his last five games, but that streak will end Monday night.
