After a hot start to the season, the Los Angeles Dodgers continue to struggle despite a record of 18-17. They have lost five of their last six games and eight of their last 10 as they head into a three-game home series with the Seattle Mariners on Monday night. Seattle has an identical record to the Dodgers and lost three of their last four games.
Los Angeles will turn to righthander Walker Buehler, who has a 1-0 record in seven starts with a 3.13 ERA. In his last time out, he allowed two runs on five hits and eight strikeouts in six innings against the Chicago Cubs. Lefty Yusei Kikuchi will throw for the Mariners with a 1-2 record and 4.30 ERA through six starts. He pitched seven innings his last time out and allowed three runs on five hits and one walk with seven strikeouts.
Mariners vs. Dodgers, 10:10 p.m. ET
Moneyline pick: Mariners +205
With Buehler on the mound, it makes a lot of sense for the Dodgers to be favored, but they’re getting -240 odds to win this game. Remember, this is a team that has really struggled to come away with a win the past couple weeks, so we’re not spending that price on Los Angeles in this spot. Seattle is worth the risk, and that’s the side we’re on.
Player Prop: TBD
