NASCAR Price Check – Drydene 400 - Fantasy Salary Review

The NASCAR Cup Series is back in action on Sunday, May 16th with the Drydene 400 at the Dover International Speedway. The race starts at 2:00 p.m. ET and will air on FS1. You can watch a live stream on FOX.com/live or on the Bally Sports app.

The race is 400 laps that equals out to 400 miles. It usually lasts just around three hours, but last year was a little different. The 2020 race was only 311 laps and was instead split up into a pair of 311 mile races. Prior to that, the race had been 400 laps dating back to 1997. The only exceptions in that time were in 2005 and 2018 when it went 404 laps due to overtime.

In 2019, the race lasted 2 hours and 56 minutes. Prior to that, it went 3:18 in 2018 (over 404 laps), 3:05 in 2017, 3:03 in 2016, and 3:20 in 2015. With the race starting at 2 p.m., east coast viewers will be done before dinner needs to be ready and west coast viewers will still have most of the afternoon in front of them.
