What are the Knicks odds to win the NBA Championship?

We go over the odds on DraftKings Sportsbook for the New York Knicks to win it all in the 2021 NBA Playoffs.

The 2021 NBA Playoffs have arrived. The playoffs opens with a play-in tournament for the 7-10 seeds in each conference, followed by the first round of the top eight seeds. We’ll be breaking down DraftKings Sportsbook odds for each team to open the tournament and as teams advance through each round.

The Knicks are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2012-13, the glory days of Carmelo Anthony. This team is a bit different but has a lot of similarities as well. Julius Randle is the lone All-Star, likely to win Most Improved Player in his first season under coach Tom Thibodeau. Thibs has a shot at winning Coach of the Year. RJ Barrett took a big step as a sophomore and Immanuel Quickley proved to be a solid rookie addition. The Knicks don’t have an alpha so to speak, but are built for the playoffs, boasting the best defensive rating in the NBA this season.

Knicks odds to win championship, May 17: +10000

The Knicks are going to be long-shots to win it all at 100/1 and 40/1 to come out of the East on DraftKings Sportsbook. What New York has on some of the other teams early on is defensive intensity. Will the lack of a go-to scorer be the thing that holds New York back? You could argue Derrick Rose, Julius Randle and RJ Barrett is enough scoring to get by. What happens when the Knicks run into a tough defensive team like the Sixers or Bucks? Chances are the Knicks won’t do much outside of maybe advancing past the first round.
