The 2021 NBA Playoffs have arrived. The playoffs opens with a play-in tournament for the 7-10 seeds in each conference, followed by the first round of the top eight seeds. We’ll be breaking down DraftKings Sportsbook odds for each team to open the tournament and as teams advance through each round.
The Bucks are a tough team to figure out heading into the 2021 playoffs. Before the season, many believed the acquisition of Jrue Holiday would push an already dominant regular-season team over the edge. That wasn’t the case and Milwaukee finished 3rd in the conference. The Bucks lack the depth and defensive edge they had in previous seasons, which mostly ended in early playoff exits. Milwaukee finished the regular season 5-1 against the Nets and Sixers, but both teams weren’t at full strength at times. Is this the year Giannis Antetokounmpo shakes his playoff demons and gets the Bucks to the Final? We’ll see.
Bucks odds to win NBA championship, May 17: +800
Milwaukee has the sixth-best odds to win the NBA Championship this season. The Nets have the best odds to win it all among East teams. The Bucks at this line offers value considering it’s a more talented roster than previous seasons, when the Bucks entered the playoffs favored to come out of the East. Giannis is the type of player who can carry a team all the way. It just hasn’t worked out yet. Is the road tough? Of course. But the Bucks have the team to get it done. Coach Mike Budenholzer just needs to tighten his rotation in the playoffs for once.
