The Western Conference play-in tournament gets underway on Wednesday evening, May 19th. The No. 10 San Antonio Spurs will travel to face the No. 9 Memphis Grizzlies, with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m. The winner of this will game will advance to face the loser of the Warriors-Lakers matchup for a shot at the eight seed.

Below is a look at a number of predictions ahead of Wednesday night’s game for the DraftKings Sportsbook NBA Playoffs pools.

Spurs vs. Grizzlies play-in tournament pool picks

Which team will cover the spread? Spurs +3.5, Grizzlies -3.5

The teams split their four meetings this season, with the Grizzlies winning the most recent contest 133-102. Only one of the four games has been within five points. Memphis is the home team. If you’re picking the Grizzlies to win, you should expect them to cover the spread.

SA Spurs vs. MEM Grizzlies: Total Points 225.5

Aside from a 108-106 San Antonio victory in August last season, the three regular-season matchups this season have totaled 250, 241 and 235. I expect this game to hit the over as well. The Spurs have been shaky defensively of late, meaning Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson could get hot early for Memphis.

Which team will reach 30 Points first? Spurs, Grizzlies

In one of the best toss-up bets, I’ll take the Grizzlies to jump out in front early and get to 30 points first.

Which combination of players will have more Points and Assists? DeMar DeRozan/Dejounte Murray or Ja Morant/Jaren Jackson Jr.

DeRozan and Murray will likely combine for more assists, but Morant and Jackson will likely take the points column assuming Memphis wins the game. The Spurs will need DeRozan to be at his peak, but the guard has been known to underwhelm in the postseason. It’ll be close, but Morant and Jackson should get the job done.

Who will finish the with most Points, Rebounds, and Assists? DeMar DeRozan, Ja Morant, Jonas Valanciunas

DeRozan will be taking a lot of shots for San Antonio and could get enough volume to score the most individual points. Morant should have the most assists of the group and Valanciunas is the clear favorite to grab the most boards. When taking a combination of all those stats, look for either Morant and Valanciunas to rack up the highest total.

Which team will record more 3 pointers made? Spurs, Grizzlies

The Grizzlies made 11.2 three-pointers per game in the regular season. The Spurs made 9.9. Neither of these teams are hoisting from downtown with frequency. The efficiency isn’t on point either, with Memphis converting 35.6 percent of its attempts and San Antonio coming in at 35 percent. I’ll take the Grizzlies, but this one is another true toss-up bet.
