The 2021 NBA Playoffs are set to get underway on Saturday, May 22 after the play-in tournament. The play-in tourney this year will decide who will be the 7-seed in the Eastern Conference and face the Brooklyn Nets in the first round. That team is the Boston Celtics, who defeated the Washington Wizards in the play-in tournament on Tuesday to advance to face Brooklyn.
This should be a very interesting 2-7 matchup. You’ve got Kyrie Irving, a former Celtic, on one side with Kevin Durant and James Harden. Jayson Tatum carried the Celtics to this point and won’t be an easy out, even with KD on him. If only Jaylen Brown (wrist) wasn’t out for the season and we’d have the potential for a classic here. The Celtics could push the Nets a game or two. The Nets’ only concern is Harden and Durant holding up after dealing with various lower-body injuries throughout the season.
Here we’re going to track the results and provide everything you need to know for the series, including odds, betting and fantasy basketball picks and injury reports. We’ll also add in the schedule when that’s released with TV info and game times.
