Dallas Mavericks injury report heading into 2021 NBA playoffs

We go over the key injuries that could impact the Mavericks heading into the postseason.

The Dallas Mavericks will enter the NBA playoffs as the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference and avoided the play-in tournament due to owning the tiebreaker over the Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers, after all three finished with a 42-30 record. Dallas could be returning key pieces to the lineup during a Round 1 series with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Dallas Mavericks injury report

Maxi Kleber, Achilles - Maxi Kleber missed the last two games due to Achilles soreness and is listed as questionable to be on the floor for Game 1 on Saturday, May 22nd. Earlier this week, head coach Rick Carlisle said he is hopeful Kleber will be back for the first game of the series, but we’ll see if he is able to go.

JJ Redick, heel — The sharpshooter’s status for the start of the postseason is uncertain as he battles through heel soreness. He has not played since May 11th, sitting out the team’s final three games of the regular season.
