The Portland Trail Blazers held the tiebreaker over the Los Angeles Lakers, avoiding the play-in tournament as the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference. They will match up with the Denver Nuggets in their first round series starting on Saturday, May 22 with their lone injury concern being a big man who hasn’t played at all this season.
Portland Trail Blazers injury report
Zach Collins, ankle — After playing just 11 games in the 2019-20 season, Collins underwent surgery for a left ankle fracture in late December of 2020 and has yet to return from the injury. There hasn’t been a ton of news regarding his status for the playoffs, so it’s probably a safe bet he won’t make his season debut during the Trail Blazers postseason run.
