Best MLB team stacks for DFS on Friday, May 21st

We go over some of the best MLB teams to stack for DFS on DraftKings for Friday’s main slate.

Ian Happ is the value play of the day

We have a full 15-game slate in the majors on Friday, which means there are still multiple opportunities to come away with a win in DraftKings baseball DFS. The main slate has 15 games starting at 7:05 p.m. ET. If there’s any day to play DFS, this is the day to do so.

Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the MLB game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can learn more about MLB DFS strategy, including team stacks, here.

Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the MLB slate on May 21st.

Diamondbacks vs. Rockies, 8:40 p.m. ET

Eduardo Escobar ($5300)
Ketel Marte ($5300)
Josh Rojas ($3900)

We are going to try something different with the team stacks going forward, starting with our first game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies. Usually, we give y’all five players for your DFS lineup, but that can sometimes handicap your salary cap and not allow you to add other top players from other teams.

Therefore, we are going list three or four players and hope for better results. In regards to this game, DraftKings Sportsbook has the run total at 11.5, which is the highest on the board in the majors. Both teams are struggling as the Rockies have lost five straight games, while the Diamondbacks have also lost five games.

Between the two teams, Arizona seems like the better team stack against Rockies starter German Marquez. This season, Marquez has a record of 2-4 with an ERA of 5.56 through nine starts. Left-handed hitters are seeing the ball well against the 26-year-old, slugging .297/.398/.416 with 2 HRs and 14 RBI.

Twins vs. Indians, 7:10 p.m. ET

Jose Ramirez ($5600)
Franmill Reyes ($4500)
Josh Naylor ($3700)

Another game where we could see a good amount of runs scored is between the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians at 7:10 p.m. ET. DraftKings Sportsbook has the run total set at 9, which makes sense as the Twins are starting reliever Randy Dobnak. This season, Dobnak has struggled on the mound with a record of 0-3 and 8.16 ERA in seven appearances out of the bullpen.

Dobnak has apparently pitched better since being optioned to Triple-A, but it remains to be seen if he can duplicate it in the majors. Left-handed hitters have crushed the 26-year-old reliever, hitting .320/.393/.800 with 4 HRs and 7 RBI. Outside of Ramirez and Reyes, Naylor could be a good value play in this stack. He has recorded a hit in three consecutive games, which includes a home run.

Rays vs. Blue Jays, 7:37 p.m. ET

Randy Arozarena ($5000)
Austin Meadows ($4600)
Manuel Margot ($3400)

For our last team stack, we are going to focus one of the hottest teams in baseball in the Tampa Bay Rays, who are beginning a three-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays have won seven straight games and are averaging nine runs per game.

They will try to make eight consecutive wins tonight against Jays starter Anthony Kay. Kay has struggled mightily this season for Toronto with a record of 0-2 and 7.24 ERA in three starts. Left-handed batters have been successful against Kay, slashing .421/.450/.1.000 with 2 HR and 7 RBI.
