The longtime Atlanta Falcons great, Julio Jones, is on the trade block and this isn’t your fantasy football league. The Falcons “would like to trade” Jones according to The Athletic’s Jeff Schultz. Schultz isn’t your barber either. We can trust his sources. That doesn’t mean a trade will happen. Jones is 32-years old and has been plagued with nagging injuries over the last few seasons. But that hasn’t hurt his numbers, at least until last year when he had 51 catches, 771 yards and three touchdowns in nine games. But when healthy, he’s shown he hasn’t lost a step and there will be plenty of teams in win-now mode wanting to help him get that elusive Super Bowl ring.

DraftKings Sportsbook has the odds for which team Jones will lead in the 2021 season. Odds are available in Michigan, Colorado, and Illinois.

Atlanta Falcons -150

The Falcons just drafted Kyle Pitts and haven’t made a move to insure their post-Matt Ryan era quarterback. They at least look like they want to still win now. Trading Jones doesn’t quite fit with that. And what teams are going to take on his $23 million cap hit for a possible short-term rental? The Falcons don’t appear desperate to trade, so they’ll likely need to get a strong offer. If they don’t, they seem content on keeping him another season.

Green Bay Packers +1000

The Packers could have an out in their Aaron Rodgers kerfuffle if they give him a contract extension and also say, “hey, would you like to throw to Julio Jones?” It isn’t that far fetched, but the Packers sure aren’t known for splash deals like this. Throw in Jordan Love in the trade deal and how could Rodgers refuse? Well, he probably could refuse.

Kansas City Chiefs +3300

This is the dream scenario. The Chiefs have two of the best pass-catchers in the business with Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, but that third option for Patrick Mahomes has remained elusive. Mecole Hardman hopes to take a step forward this season, but that still looks like a 50/50 proposition. Jones would make the Chiefs offense even more unstoppable than it already is and Jones would get his chance for a ring.
