The Los Angeles Lakers clinched a spot in the NBA playoffs with a victory over the Golden State Warriors in the play-in tournament. They will open up their postseason with a first round series against the No. 2 seed Phoenix Suns, and the Lakers are the favorites to advance to Round 2 despite being the Western Conference’s seventh seed.

The Lakers struggled through injuries to their two best players with LeBron James and Anthony Davis during the regular season, but they are back, and the team’s stars are healthy for a postseason run. The Suns sure got a tough draw as a team that finished the regular season with the second best record in the NBA at 51-21. They will enter the playoffs relatively healthy as they will look to get Cameron Johnson and Deandre Ayton ready for Game 1.
Who will win the series?
The Lakers have quite a bit going for them and given the fact they are among the favorites to win the NBA title and repeat as champs, we’re going with Los Angeles to take this series. Phoenix is a fun team, but the Suns do not quite have the star power of the Lakers at this point. With two of the best players in the NBA, the Lakers are going to be a tough out for any team in this postseason.
