The Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees will continue their three-game set at 1:05 p.m. ET. Dylan Cease will be on the mound for the White Sox, while Gerrit Cole will start for the Yankees. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 1:05 p.m. ET

Moneyline pick: Yankees -205

The Yankees managed to pull out a tough 2-1 win in the ninth inning on Friday night, despite a great performance from White Sox pitcher Carlos Rodon, who had 13 strikeouts in 6.0 IP. Yankees starter Jordan Montgomery also had a great outing with a season-high 11 strikeouts in 7.0 IP.

New York has now won four straight games and will give the ball to ace Gerrit Cole. The 30-year-old has been dominant on the mound and a strikeout machine. He has a record of 5-2 and an ERA of 2.03 through nine starts. Cole has also recorded 85 strikeouts in only 57.2 IP of work. In his last start against the Rangers, the All-star pitcher received the loss as he gave up a season-high 7 hits (2 HRs), 5 earned runs, but still struck out 7 in 5.0 IP.

The way that Cole pitched on Monday is something that we should expect going forward. In five starts at home this season, he has a record of 2-1 and an ERA of 1.71. But in two career starts against the Sox, Cole is 1-1 with a 6.00 ERA. As for Cease, he will try to match what his fellow teammate in Rodon did last night. The young pitcher has a record of 2-0 with an ERA of 2.41 through eight starts this season. In his most recent outing against the Royals, Cease allowed 3 hits, 1 run, 3 walks, but still had three strikeouts in 5.2 IP. This season on the road, the 25-year-old has fared well with a 2-1 record and 2.93 ERA.

Player Prop: Dylan Cease over 5.5 strikeouts (-106)

After last night’s performances between Rodon and Montgomery, we could see another pitcher’s duel on deck in today’s game. We already know what Cole brings to the table as one of the best pitchers in the league. But do not sleep on Cease, who has been the best pitcher behind Rodon in the White Sox’s starting staff. He has gone over 5.5 strikeouts in five out eight starts this season. Furthermore, he’s facing a Yankees’ offense that just had 13 strikeouts yesterday from Rodon and is averaging 8.98 Ks this season. At -106 odds, it is not a bad play if you aren’t feeling the ML value.
