The Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees will open up a three-game set on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. ET. Steven Matz will be on the mound for the Blue Jays, while Corey Kluber will start for the Yankees. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Blue Jays vs. Yankees, 7:05 p.m. ET

Moneyline pick: Yankees -182

The last time these two AL East rivals faced off against each other down in Dunedin, Florida, the Blue Jays won two out of three games over the Yankees. Toronto also won the Opening Weekend series against the Yankees, which has helped them get off to a hot start. However, the Jays have faded recently, losing six straight and will now face the Yankees, who have won six consecutive games.

Toronto is hoping that Steven Matz, who had a great first four starts of the season, can help snap their losing streak. The southpaw has a record of 5-2 with an ERA of 4.69 through nine starts this season. In his last outing against the Red Sox, Matz allowed a season-high 10 hits, 5 earned runs, 2 walks, and recorded 4 strikeouts in 6.0 IP. This season on the road, he has a 4-1 record and 4.28 ERA. But Matz has struggled against the Yankees over his career, with a record of 1-3 and 6.83 ERA in seven games. Not to mention, New York is averaging 4.2 runs per game in its last six games.

Kluber enters tonight’s AL East matchup off of a no-hitter against his old squad, the Texas Rangers last week. The veteran right-handed pitcher was dominant on the mound, putting up 9 strikeouts and allowing 1 walk. This season, the 35-year-old pitcher has a record of 4-2 and an ERA of 2.86 through nine starts. Kluber has pitched phenomenally well at home this season with a record of 1-1 and a 2.01 ERA. Unlike Matz, Kluber has already made two starts against the Blue Jays this season. The veteran pitcher has a 4.50 ERA and allowed three HRs in 8.0 IP with an OBA of .344.

Player Prop: Corey Kluber under 5.5 strikeouts (+117)

It is going to be interesting to see how Kluber performs after throwing a no-hitter last week against the Rangers. This season, the 35-year-old has 50 strikeouts in 50.1 IP and 8.9 K/9. He has also gone under 5.5 strikeouts in five out of nine outings. Now granted, there may be some temptation to play the over as he’s averaging 7.75 strikeouts in his last four starts. But not at -150 odds, where there is little to no value. The under is the best play against a Jays offense’ that is only averaging 8.57 strikeouts this season.
