Will the Baltimore Ravens go over or under their win total in 2021?

Lamar Jackson will get some new receivers this season and is still one of the best offensive weapons in the league.

The Baltimore Ravens took a step back last season, as they went 11-5 after going 14-2 in 2019 with a very similar team. COVID-19 issues didn’t help, but a lack of passing numbers were also a contributing factor. Lamar Jackson dropped in completion percentage, total passing yards and touchdowns, while increasing in interceptions, sacks and fumbles. Jackson and the Ravens will hope to get back on track in 2021.

We’ll take a look at the latest DraftKings Sportsbook lines and predict if the Ravens can beat their 2021 win total. The odds below are as of May 24, 2021.

AFC North win totals

Baltimore Ravens 10.5 (Over -125, Under +103)
Cleveland Browns 10.5 (Over +103, Under -125)
Pittsburgh Steelers 8.5 (Over +110, Under -134)
Cincinnati Bengals 6.5 (Over -137, Under +113)

Notable offseason moves

The Ravens brought in WR Sammy Watkins, OT Alejandro Villanueva, OG Kevin Zeitler and drafted WR Rashod Bateman and OLB Ben Cleveland in the first round.

They traded OT Orlando Brown and lost C Matt Skura, OG D.J. Fluker, DE Yannick Ngakoue, DE Jihad Ward and LB Matt Judon in free agency.

Baltimore Ravens prediction: OVER 10.5

The AFC North is a tough division with the Browns becoming contenders, but the Steelers hit the skids at the end of last season and will need to show they can compete offensively in 2021. The Ravens had key players missing for games last year due to COVID-19 and they still finished with 11 wins. Add in another game and first rounder Rashod Bateman to the offense and I expect they find a way to get to 12-5 this season.

There will be some growing pains for the defense after losing some key players, but I expect them to still be above average while the offense is likely to take a step forward with J.K. Dobbins in his second year. We can’t rule out a trade for Julio Jones either. But at this point that is wishful thinking. Jackson has shown he can stay healthy despite rushing for over a thousand yards in each of the last two seasons and as long as that trend continues, this offense will remain tough to control.
