After nine straight seasons of playing in UEFA’s Champions League but failing to reach the finals, Manchester City will finally appear in a Champions League final for the first time in club history. City will face Chelsea in Saturday’s final, with the match starting at 3 p.m. ET on CBS All-Access via Paramount+.

This is the competition Pep Guardiola came to City to win. After lifting the Champions League trophy at Barcelona and making three semifinal appearances with Bayern Munich, Guardiola has the chance to cement his legacy at Manchester City in this game. His opponent will be a tough Chelsea squad flying high under manager Thomas Tuchel. The Blues already took down Manchester City 2-1 in the Premier League recently and have the attacking ability to extend City’s Champions League drought.

Here are the best plays at DraftKings Sportsbook involving Manchester City for bettors.

Best bets for Manchester City

Home team over 1.5 goals (+115)

Manchester City is listed as the “home” team in this neutral site contest. They have scored exactly two goals in each of their last six Champions League games and have 25 goals across 12 Champions League matches this season. It’s highly likely City hits at least two goals, if not more. They’ve got 73 goals in 38 Premier League games as well, showing they’re a strong attacking team in general. Given the added stakes of a Champions League final, you can feel confident betting this prop.

Sergio Aguero to score (+185)

If you’re a fan of good stories, this is an easy bet to talk yourself into. Aguero is reportedly on his way to Barcelona after the final, ending a ridiculously successful run at Manchester City. Aguero has 184 Premier League goals for the club in his career, the fourth most in league history and the most by a non-English national. He’s only scored twice in Champions League games this year, but this is one of those moments where the numbers go out the window. In a game where Manchester City is expected to score multiple goals, Aguero is a good bet to net one of them.

Total Goals in Regular Time over 2.5 (+125)

As mentioned above, Manchester City is a good bet to score. If you believe in trends, both recently and over a full season, they are a good bet to score more than one goal. On the flip side, Chelsea is a good bet to score at least once. I know I said the numbers should go out the window when pushing the Aguero prop, but these teams have consistently scored goals across all competitions. The trend lines would indicate a 2-1 score in favor of Manchester City, but the only thing that matters here is more than 2.5 goals. Even if City adds a third goal or Chelsea sneaks a second in to force extra time, this is a strong bet.
