Best player prop bets for NBA Playoffs on Wednesday, May 26th

We go over the best player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday night’s three-game slate.

We continue the first round of the 2021 NBA Playoffs on Wednesday night with three games. Last night, we saw the two championship favorites roll to victory while the Los Angeles Clippers got embarrassed again by the Dallas Mavericks. Despite 41 points from Kawhi Leonard, the Clips are in a 2-0 hole and it appears Luka Doncic is on his way to winning his first playoff series. Either way, we’ve got a new slate and new player props to consider. Let’s take a look at some top options for Wednesday night.

Ben Simmons to record a triple-double (+600)

We’re coming out the player prop gate blazing with this line. Simmons posted 6 points in Game 1 but had 15 rebounds and 15 assists. If Simmons makes a few more buckets, he reaches a triple-double pretty easily. While the risk is baked into the line, it’s hard to deny the Game 1 performance and how close Simmons was to hitting. It isn’t like he didn’t have a shot at reaching double-digit points either; Simmons went 0-for-6 from the free throw line and was 3-of-9 from the field. It’s the playoffs, so even in a blowout, we should see plenty of Simmons and another high-scoring contest.

Trae Young O1.5 3-pointers (-150)

The way the Knicks defended Young in Game 1 suggests they’re OK letting him get to the rack. The goal is clearly to limit the space Young has to get his shot off. Well, that led to 32 points and a Game 1 loss, so I’m expecting the Knicks to adjust a bit. If they throw more doubles at Trae that could become an issue, but ATL has shooters that will kill New York if Young finds the open man. Trae was 1-of-3 from downtown in Game 1. My guess is he could force some more long-range shots and this line feels pretty enticing. The number isn’t great at -150 but you can also pair it with a few other safe props for a nice parlay.

Mike Conley O6.5 assists (+105)

Conley is averaging 6 dimes per game this year and has averaged just over 8.5 assists per game since Donovan Mitchell went down with an ankle sprain in mid-April. Mitchell is a full-go for Wednesday but bettors shouldn’t expect him to shake off all the rust immediately after a one-month layoff. Conley’s playmaking will be essential against a Memphis Grizzlies team he averaged 7.5 assists against during the regular season.
