Will the Chicago Bears go over or under their win total in 2021?

The Bears hope Justin Fields can make an impact this season and get them over their projected win total.

Could the Bears take the NFC North?

The Chicago Bears somehow managed to get into the playoffs with an 8-8 record last year despite poor quarterback play from both Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles. They have moved on from Trubisky and brought in veteran Andy Dalton and rookie Justin Fields. There is hope again in Chicago.

We’ll take a look at the latest DraftKings Sportsbook lines and predict if the Bears can beat their 2021 win total. The odds below are as of May 24, 2021.

NFC North win totals

Green Bay Packers — Off the board
Minnesota Vikings 9 (Over +125, Under -152)
Chicago Bears 7.5 (Over +103, Under -125)
Detroit Lions 5 (Over -110, Under -110)

Notable offseason moves

The two most notable moves were signing QB Andy Dalton and drafting Justin Fields. They also brought in RB Damien Williams, WRs Damiere Byrd and Marquise Goodwin, and CB Desmond Trufant.

They lost CB Kyler Fuller, WR/RB Cordarrelle Patterson, OTs Charles Leno, Bobby Massie, Rashaad Coward, DE Brent Urban, DT Roy Robertson-Harris, LB Barkevious Mingo and CB Buster Skrine.

Chicago Bears prediction: OVER 7.5

The NFC North is a bit of a mess right now, as the Green Bay Packers and their franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers squabble, but I don’t think the Chicago Bears mind. A season where they don’t have to face Rodgers twice would be just fine by them. The Lions also traded away Matthew Stafford and look poised for another down year. These are good things for the Bears possible win total.

Of course, the quarterback situation is still a question. Things are looking up with the selection of Fields, but he is a rookie and Dalton is a backup at best. But, their defense should remain decent and Fields is a player I believe can make an impact this season. Getting Tarik Cohen back should help the offense and they at least get another season out of Allen Robinson who’s on the franchise tag.
