After splitting two games at Madison Square Garden, the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks head to ATL to write the next chapter in this playoff series. New York rallied in Game 2 after a 107-105 loss in Game 1, but Trae Young has been on fire for the Hawks. Atlanta’s fans have been waiting for playoff basketball again and have a budding star to cheer for.
Knicks vs. Hawks, 7:00 p.m. ET, ESPN
Pick ATS: Knicks +4 (-109)
The Hawks are favored, according to DraftKings Sportbook, but both games have been close. The Knicks have a strong defense, something that’s always good to bank on in road games. Young might cool off after a hot start to the series, but Atlanta’s bench should improve. Take New York in this one.
Player Prop: Trae Young over 1.5 3-pointers (-180)
This isn’t the best value among player props, but it’s the one most likely to pay off. Young averaged 5.8 attempts per game in his final nine regular-season contests and he’s taking 5.0 attempts per game in the playoffs. He’s shooting extremely well and will likely see increased volume as the home crowd encourages him to keep firing. Young can get hot and take over games, leading to even more shots from the perimeter. He should have no trouble converting two 3-pointers in Game 3.
