Update, June 1st — Westbrook is being listed as questionable to play in Game 5 vs. the Sixers on Wednesday. He was able to play through the knee injury on Monday night in the win over Philly in Game 4. The series is at 3-1 shifting back to Philadelphia. Westbrook had another gaudy triple-double on Monday night, scoring 19 points with 14 assists and 21 rebounds. Chances are Westbrook will play again in Game 5 with the Wiz having new life. Sixers All-Star C Joel Embiid is doubtful to play on Wednesday, per reports.
Update, Game 4 — Westbrook is expected to play in Game 4 vs. the Sixers on Monday. He was able to play through an ankle injury in Game 3 on Saturday, a 132-103 blowout loss. The Sixers lead the series 3-0 and it appears the Wizards’ season will soon be over. Westbrook posted 26-10-12 for another triple-double in Game 3 but Joel Embiid was too much for Washington.

Washington is listing Russell Westbrook as questionable for Game 3 with the home team down 2-0 to the East’s No. 1 seed. Westbrook has struggled so far in the series, shooting just 33.3 percent from the floor and failing to connect on a single 3-point attempt. The Wizards said Westbrook did not practice Friday.
In the event Westbrook misses the contest, Bradley Beal will likely take over as the lead guard. Ish Smith, who played well down the stretch for the Wizards, will also see additional minutes as Washington tries to get back in the series. Raul Neto is another point guard option for head coach Scott Brooks if Westbrook is eventually be ruled out.
