NASCAR qualifying results for Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway

The Coca-Cola 600 takes place on May 30 this year. Qualifying is back on Saturday morning and we’re tracking the full starting lineup for the Sunday evening race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

FINAL UPDATE: Kyle Larson claimed the pole in qualifying for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will join him on the front row. Chase Elliott and William Byron will follow in the second row.

NASCAR’s Cup Series Series holds its longest race of the season on Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The green flag drops on the 2021 Coca-Cola 600 at 6 p.m. ET and the race will air on FOX. However, a day ahead of the race we get qualifying starting at 11:05 a.m.

This marks only the fourth time this season NASCAR is holding qualifying runs in advance of a Cup Series race. The organization has limited qualifying due to the COVID-19 pandemic, primarily using a performance-metric formula to determine starting lineups each week. However, eight Cup Series races will feature qualifying this year, and the Coca-Cola 600 is one of them. Each driver gets one lap to put up their best speed and the fastest car will claim the pole position. If a team has to change a car or make adjustments to the car, the driver drops to the back of the pack regardless of their qualifying time.

We’ll update qualifying results below until we have the starting lineup settled for Sunday’s 2021 Coca-Cola 600 race. Kyle Larson enters qualifying as the favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, installed at +450. He’s followed by Chase Elliott and Martin Truex, Jr. (both +600), Kyle Busch (+650), and Denny Hamlin (+900).
