After barely falling to Memphis in Game 1 without Donovan Mitchell, the Jazz found their footing in Game 2 with the star guard back. Mitchell tallied 25 points, including a 5-10 performance from deep. Rudy Gobert showed why he is the favorite to win Defensive Player of the Year, registering four blocks in a high-scoring contest. The Jazz are now healthy and ready to show why they’re the top seed in the West.
Ja Morant has carried Memphis into the postseason and continues to show why he’s a budding star for the Grizzlies. Morant was instrumental in a Game 1 win with 26 points before going off for 47 in a Game 2 loss. As the series shifts to Memphis, expect Morant to entertain the home crowd. The Grizzlies will need Jaren Jackson Jr. to step up if they expect to make this a competitive series.
