The Aaron Rodgers saga is gaining traction. The most recent sign of that are the most recent win total odds up at DraftKings Sportsbook for the Packers. They have jumped from 7.5 to 9 and that’s based on the idea that Rodgers might find his way to the Rocky Mountains.
The rumors are plenty, but there are too many reliable members of the media reporting that Rodgers is indeed done with the Packers and ready to force his way out of Green Bay. Of course, Green Bay says they aren’t going to trade Rodgers, which is what they should say. But, if the only option is Rodgers sitting out for a season versus them getting a Brinks’ truck full of draft picks and players for a 37-year old quarterback, well, at some point you have to cut your losses and get as much as you can back.
Besides the Broncos’ win total, you can check out the odds to win the AFC West before and after the NFL Draft, or as we now call it, the day of Rodgers’ Revenge!
The Chiefs are still overwhelming favorites, but there’s little doubt that Rodgers would turn this division into a powerhouse. The jump from +1500 to +600 is significant when you consider the Chiefs are the team they’ll likely need to beat out. As far as Super Bowl odds go, we’ve seen a Broncos jump from +6000 to win it all to +2500, while the Chiefs have seen a slight move from +500 to +525.
Nobody really knows what’s going to happen here, so every report could move the odds for the Broncos or the Raiders or whoever the next team vaguely in the running to land Rodgers happens to be. But hey, if you want to bet against the Broncos getting Rodgers, hit that win total under, because the Teddy Bridgewater-Drew Lock duo is going to have trouble racking up wins.
