The Toronto Raptors are falling into desperation mode at this point as they head on the road to take on the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night. With just seven games left, Toronto has the 11th best record in the Eastern Conference and is three games behind the Washington Wizards for a spot in the play-in tournament. Meanwhile, the Clippers have clinched a playoff spot and are tied for the third best record in the West at 43-22.
Patrick Beverley and Serge Ibaka remain out for the Clippers with Amir Coffey in the NBA’s health and safety protocol. The Raptors will be without Gary Trent Jr., Chris Boucher and Paul Watson with Fred VanVleet questionable after missing the team’s last game with a hip injury.

Both teams did not play on Monday and have been in Los Angeles since the weekend, so there’s not much of a travel advantage for either side. Check the injury reports for VanVleet’s availability, but we’re going with Toronto to cover this spread on the road. The Raptors are in must-win territory the rest of the way, and they should have the motivation edge on Tuesday night. Toronto covered the spread in seven of their last 10 games, while the Clippers are 1-5 in their last six against the number.

Siakam is coming off a 39-point performance, but his scoring average is at 20.9 points per game this season. Additionally, in the prior three games before Sunday, he averaged just 12 points. The Clippers play at one of the slowest paces with just 99.8 possessions per game, the second fewest in the NBA. Possessions will be limited on both sides, and odds are Siakam will fall under this point total.
