Full starting grid for the Steakhouse Elite 200 Xfinity race at Darlington

NASCAR’s Xfinity Series is back in action this weekend. The second level circuit is running in Darlington, with the 2021 Steakhouse Elite 200 airing on Saturday, May 8 on FS1. The green flag drops at 1 p.m. ET and a live stream is available at FOX.com/live and the Bally Sports app.

A.J. Allmendinger has secured the pole position for Saturday’s race. The lineup was determined using a performance-metric formula rather than traditional qualifying due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The metric is split into 25 percent comes from a driver’s finishing position from the previous race, 25 percent comes from the car owner’s finishing position from the previous race, 35 percent comes from the team owner’s points ranking, and 15 percent comes from the fastest lap from the previous race.

Austin Cindric joins Allmendinger on the front row. They’re followed by Jeb Burton and Justin Haley on the second row and Noah Gragson and Riley Herbst on the third row. Cindric is the favorite to win DraftKings Sportsbook, installed at +325. He is followed by Allmendinger (+450), Gragson (+550), Harrison Burton (+600), and Daniel Hemric (+700).

Chase Briscoe is the defending champ, claiming the win last May. Brandon Jones claimed the second Darlington win last year at the Sport Clips Haircuts VFW 200.
