The Phoenix Suns are still on top of the Western Conference and will face off against the shorthanded Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. The Suns are relatively healthy, but the Lakers are banged up down the stretch. Phoenix has a real edge because LeBron James has been sidelined by an ankle injury, and we’ve identified some of the best betting options on DraftKings Sportsbook ahead of tip-off.
Suns vs. Lakers, 10:00 p.m. ET, NBA TV
Pick ATS: Suns -7
The Suns have won seven of their last 10 games and have dominated the Lakers this year. Phoenix has topped Los Angeles by an average of 13.5 points through two meetings. The Lakers might not even have a point guard if Alex Caruso (foot) can’t play, so Chris Paul and Devin Booker should have a field day on offense. The Lakers are still an excellent defensive team without James, but their injuries and lack of consistency on offense should help Phoenix cover. The Lakers are 5-1 ATS in their last six home game against the Suns, but the defending champs aren’t close to 100%.
Player Prop: Anthony Davis to record a double-double (+210)
Davis finished with 36 points and 12 boards against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday, and he’ll have to be at his best to help the Lakers finish the regular season on a high note. There’s not a player on the Suns who can guard Davis one on one, and power forward is easily the Suns’ weakest position. Torrey Craig won’t be enough to stop Davis from getting to the cup or crashing the grass. I like his odds to record his third double-double in his last six games.
