We have a full 16-game slate in the majors on Saturday, which means there are still multiple opportunities to come away with a win in DraftKings baseball DFS. The early slate has 11 games starting at 4:05 p.m. ET.
Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the MLB game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can learn more about MLB DFS strategy, including team stacks, here.
Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the MLB slate on Saturday, June 12th.
White Sox vs. Tigers, 4:10 p.m. ET
Tim Anderson ($5,400)
Yoan Moncada ($5,300)
Andrew Vaughn ($3,600)
Our first team stack to lead off Saturday will be the Chicago White Sox, who are playing the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. These two teams just played each other last week in Chi-town where the White Sox won 3 out of 4 games. DraftKings Sportsbook has the run total for today’s game set at 9.5, which is one of the highest on the slate.
The White Sox will be looking to put some runs against Tigers starter Jose Urena. Urena is 2-5 with an ERA of 5.16 in 11 starts this season. The 29-year-old has not pitched well at home this season with a 5.16 ERA and opponents batting average of .292. Left-handed pitchers are finding more success against Urena, slugging .303/.368/.403. Tim Anderson is a solid add for this team stack, despite him being a right-handed hitter. He’s hitting .600 against Urena with 2 RBI and is averaging 9.2 fantasy points in his last five games.
Yankees vs. Phillies, 4:05 p.m. ET
Bryce Harper ($4,700)
Jean Segura ($3,900)
Odubel Herrera ($3,300)
Another game during the early slate where we could see a good amount of runs scored is between the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies. DraftKings Sportsbook has the run total set at 9. The starting pitchers are Jameson Taillon for the Yankees and Vince Velasquez for the Phillies.
When looking at this matchup on paper, the consensus pick would be this Yankees’ offense against Velasquez. However, the better play is the Phillies offense’ against Taillon. The 29-year-old has been downright putrid on the road this season. He has a 9.18 ERA and a 0-3 record in four starts and allowing opponents to hit .342. Lefties have found success against Taillon, hitting .276 with 6 HRs and 13 RBI. Phillies CF Odubel Herrera is the ultimate value play likely on today’s early slate. He’s slugging .600 against Taillon with 1 HR and 3 RBI in 10 at-bats. Herrera has also recorded a hit in 4 out of his last 5 games and averaging 7.0 FPPG this season.
Pirates vs. Brewers, 4:10 p.m. ET
Avisail Garcia ($4,200)
Omar Narvaez ($4,000)
Luis Urias ($3,900)
To wrap-up the early slate for Saturday, we’re going to target the Milwaukee Brewers as our final team stack. The Brewers, who are surprisingly running neck-to-neck with the Chicago Cubs for first place in the NL Central, will face Pittsburgh Pirates starter Chad Kuhl.
Kuhl had a solid start last week against the Miami Marlins, where he went 6.0 IP and only allowed 3 hits (1 HR) and 2 earned runs. However, the 28-year-old has not done well on the road this season — 6.19 ERA in four starts.
One of his road outings came against the Brewers on Apr. 18, where he gave up 5 hits (2 HRs), 3 earned runs, 1 walk, but struck out 6 in 5.0 IP. Avisail Garcia is nice option for this team stack as he’s hitting .750 with 1 HR in four at-bats against Kuhl.
