Eleven of Sunday’s 15 MLB games will take place between 1:05 and 2:10 p.m. ET. The main slate is loaded with quality DFS options. A couple of the matchups on tap stand out because of their potential for high fantasy upside.
Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the MLB game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can learn more about MLB DFS strategy, including team stacks, here.
Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the MLB slate on Sunday, June 13th.
Chicago White Sox vs. Detroit Tigers, 1:10 p.m. ET
Jose Abreu ($5,300)
Yoan Moncada($5,100)
Yasmani Grandal ($4,700)
Several key White Sox — Tim Anderson, Yermin Mercedes, and Nick Madrigal — are out of the White Sox’s starting lineup, but this trio can take advantage of their matchup against the cheapest pitcher on the slate. All three have tallied at least 30 runs and 55 hits on the year. Abreu and Grandal have reached double-digits in home runs. Unless Kyle Funkhouser has the best game of his season against a top-five offense, Chicago should put up a fair amount of DKFP.
Los Angeles Angels vs. Arizona Diamondbacks, 4:07 p.m. ET
Anthony Rendon ($4,600)
Jared Walsh ($4,500)
Justin Upton ($3,900)
The Angels’ premier batter — Shohei Ohtani — isn’t in the lineup for Sunday, but Los Angeles can still dominate the Diamondbacks by taking advantage of an ideal pitching matchup. Jon Duplantier has given up four home runs in 11 2⁄3 innings and has only appeared in three games this season. The Angels have been one of MLB’s most efficient teams at the plate. They rank inside the top five in team batting average (.254) and hits (.533).
Rendon is looking to get a rhythm and is riding a three-game hitting streak in which he’s tallied four hits. He’s tallied 13 hits over his last 10 games while batting .325. Upton’s eight-game hitting streak ended in his last game against Arizona, and he’s batting .323 over the last 10 games. Walsh is in a bit of a slump but has managed to get on base 13 times this month. He’s converted eight of those chances into runs, so getting a few base knocks could unlock his real potential.
