The third-place Toronto Blue Jays have a chance to gain some ground in the AL East race tonight when they take on the second-place Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
Blue Jays vs. Red Sox, 7:10 p.m. ET
Moneyline pick: Red Sox -125
The season series between these two squads is split at four apiece. Still, the Blue Jays are throwing Alek Manoah, who has just three MLB appearances under his belt before tonight. He’s been inconsistent, with two solid outings and one to forget. But it’s common for pitchers to struggle after their first few starts as opposing hitters can scout against them as more film becomes available. That could make things rough against one of the best offenses in baseball.
The Red Sox are starting Nathan Eovaldi, who boasts a 7-3 record this season and an ERA just over four. Surprisingly, he hasn’t seen the Jays yet this season, but in 2020 when he took them on he went six innings, allowed three runs and tallied 10 strikeouts.
Player Prop: TBD
